'Kermit, you want to talk for the last time to Jim?'

Kermit looked back to Scooter, with a silent sorrow face,

'Can I do it alone?' he asked,

Scooter looked at the rest of the gang and they nodded slowly.

'Sure...' He and the gang left, leaving Kermit all alone with Jim Henson. Kermit sighed and kneeled down, silently looking at his 'Dad' smiling picture on his grave. He moved closer, sitting laying his back on the picture, like he was cuddling Jim. A song came to his mind and he sang it as a last tribute to Mr. Henson.

'Daddy, you gave life to me, turned an idea into a living-being,
Daddy, all you had to offer, was a promise of a lifetime of love,
Now I know, there is no other love a father's love for his son, and I know, a love so complete someday must leave, must say goodbye...'

He stood up and walked across the graveyard,

'Goodbye's the saddest word I'll ever hear, goodbye's I will hold you near,'

He stopped by a blooming cherry tree and stared at the sky, in the small hope that Jim was there.

'Someday you'll say that word and I wll cry, it'll break my heart to hear you say goodbye.'

Suddenly, Scooter approached Kermit and continued the song:

'Henson, you gave love to us...'

Miss Piggy joined in: 'Turned a small frog into a star...', she hugged Kermit gently

'Daddy, all we ever needed was a guarantee of you loving us...' Kermit sang after her.

''Cause we know,' Rowlf sang in turn, 'There is no other,' sang Sweetums 'love like a father's love for his creation...' sang Robin, Kermit's nephew

'And it hurts so that something so strong, someday'll be gone, must say goodbye...' Kermit sang alone, sighing.

Soon, others Muppets joined in and all the gang were singing: 'Goodbye's the saddest word we'll ever hear, goodbye's the last time we will hold you near, someday you'll say that word and we will cry, it'll break our heart to hear you say goodbye...'

'But the love you gave to us will always live!' sang Miss Piggy, then the gang sang in unisson:

'You'll always be there everytime we fall,'

'You are to me the greatest love of all!' sang Kermit alone,

'You take our weakness and you make us strong and we will always love 'til forever comes...'

The first stars started to appear in the sky, as some fans of Jim Henson and Kermit smiled in compassion. They soon joined in:

'And when you need us, we'll be there for you always, we'll be there your whole life through...We'll be there, this, we promise you, Jim Henson!'

'We'll be your beacon through the darkest nights, we'll be the wings that guides your broken flight...' Big Bird sang not without some sadness.

'I'll be your shelter throught the raging storm and I will love you 'till forever comes...' sang Kermit as he walked back to his 'father''s grave as the others stayed behind silently.

'Goodbye's the saddest word I'll ever hear, goodbye's the last time I will hold you near, someday you'll say that word and I will cry...It'll break my heart to hear you say goodbye...

His face turned sad as he look directly into Jim's eyes.

''Till we meet again...until then....Goodbye....'

That last word was quietly sung by the Muppets and the fans, as Kermit failed to stop a single tear from rolling down his face.

He looked back at the Muppets and stared a long moment, then everyone, muppets and fans alike embraced Kermit in a group hug.

THE END
I may have never grow up with Jim Henson , but I love his creations so much.

Inspiration came to me while I was looking at Big Bird singing 'Bein' Green' at Jim's Memorial

Hope you like it.

*hugs Kermit*
